This week at Monkey Puzzle our theme has been based on the weather. As it’s been getting colder we have spoken about that happens when it snows and how it feels. As well as it being children in need week, the children have been enjoying colouring in Pudsey pictures. Using paint all the children got involved creating a massive Pudsey using flour and coloured card for the pots and eye patch. Also we celebrated two of our children’s birthday’s who turned the big 3. All the children enjoyed having lots of party food and having cake.
What a fun week we have had in Starfish this week. Starting off this week with Remembrance Day, working together to create poppies on cardboard plates gluing and sticking red card and tissue paper onto them and then painting our hands black to create the middle of the poppy. Whilst making these we spoke about how they were special flowers for special people. Our theme this week was transportation, spending lots of time learning about cars, buses and trains! Getting messy using the cars to roll in paint and then onto the paper, looking at the different marks and patterns that we made.
We also celebrated one of our friends 1st birthdays this week! Wearing the party hats and eating the birthday lunch and yummy cake, and also singing happy birthday together to our friend.
This Month at Monkey Puzzle Colchester, the children were learning about Remembrance Day and we spent time making poppies in memory of all those who served in the war. Well done to all the children for all the superb art work!
